AYSO Region 214 celebrates July 4th in South Pasadena and San Marino parades

Celebrate Independence Day by volunteering with AYSO Region 214 players
and families for South Pasadena & San Marino’s 4th of July Parades!

South Pasadena
4th of July Festival of Balloons Parade & Festivities:  
 
7:00 am to 11 am Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast at the South Pasadena Fire Dept
10:30 am Opening Ceremonies (in front of Library Community Room)
11:00 am Parade Starts (corner of Mission and Diamond)
5:30 p.m. Gates open for South Pasadena High School Fireworks featuring 
live entertainment, dancing and food service. ($10 at gate, $7 before event.)
 
Volunteers meet at the parade check-in at Fair View and Oxley & find our Region 214 float entry.
Just look for the soccer ball balloons which we'll use to decorate our tractor!
Region 214 Board Member Mike Fox, Director of Field Maintenance, will be driving our tractor.
Show your spirit & wear your AYSO soccer uniform, or red, white & blue!

The South Pasadena parade will be broadcast by Time Warner Cable on Channel 19.
Advance tickets for the South Pasadena Fireworks are available for purchase at the Chamber of Commerce,
 Fire Dept, Senior Center, Reimagine Your Home, Fast Frame, the UPS Store, and Shaw Moses Mendenhall.

Note - Special rules for So Pas H.S. field for firework show: 
No food or drink except water.
 Only "beach style" chairs with supports that are rounded.  Chairs with legs not allowed. 
No spike heels -- only flat shoes like tennis shoes and flat sandals allowed on track and field.   
 
San Marino's 4th of July Parade & Festivities:   

4:00 pm
to 9:00 pm  Family Fun Activities at Lacy Park.  
Ongoing game and food booths and bingo. Stage entertainment after
5:30 pm

5:00 p.m. Parade Starts
9:00 p.m. Fireworks at Lacy Park!
 
Volunteers meet at the San Marino Parade check-in at Titan Travel (1427 San Marino Ave., Unit D)
Just look for the soccer ball balloons which we'll use to decorate our tractor!

Wristbands for Lacy Park activities and fireworks show are complimentary for San Marino Residents, if obtained in advanced. Wristbands purchased on July 4th are $20 for Residents.
Non-residents may purchase wristbands for $15 before July 4 or $20 on the day of the event.

Children Who Want to Participate in Parades:  
All are welcome to walk in these true hometown parades!  
If your child would like to participate in one of the parades, registration is not required. 
Your child should be accompanied by an adult and wear his or her AYSO uniform or red, white & blue. 
Proceed to the AYSO Region 214 float at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the parade 
and check in with one of the Volunteer Coordinators.
