·         The purpose of the Youth Development Program (YPD) is to afford player development opportunities to interested youth soccer players. A recreational league that functions for only part of the year, while fun for all involved, does not allow committed and/or enthusiastic players to develop to their full potential.

·         Spring YDP is open to players in the U10-U19 divisions. 

·         Families wishing to participate should agree to up to two practices per week and games on both Saturday and Sunday. Teams will travel to fields throughout Area 1C where games are scheduled. The farthest one may have to travel within Area 1C is about 20 miles.

·         For the new spring YDP, teams will be selected by an independent committee with coaches’ input. The teams are formed from among those players who have signed up by using all the evaluations available within the region for the players involved, including ratings from the previous fall season, All-Stars/Regional Stars, and any tournament team the player may have participated in. It is possible that not all players who sign up for YDP will be placed on a team either because there are not enough players for a team in that division or the player’s evaluations are not high enough for the average level of play of the players in their division.
